It’s a beautiful world after all.

I recently went to visit my parents. At the last-minute, before leaving my home, I grabbed my wool coat just to show my mom. I knew she would be interested in seeing it even though I wasn’t happy with it. I had room in the car so why not throw it in?

Well, after I modeled the coat for her she asked to try it on. It fit her. It fit and it looked good. It even was long enough in the sleeves (My mom is a bit taller than I am. Okay, quite a bit taller). I was very happy to see that it wasn’t my sewing that failed me, it was just my inability to pick the correct size.

I left the coat with my mom. She’s already worn it and received some compliments. Since I didn’t when I wore it I know it’s now in the right closet.

This means that next year I get to make a new coat. That’s exciting. I think this time I’ll go tailored and perhaps in a camel. However, I do like plaid.

    • Yes. Those cool plaid shoes my hip sister sent me need to be on my feet more often. I just can’t let the Wicked Witch of the West see them. She would be envious.
